What the extension does

Magic Study Helper works on Boards & Beyond pages you open. It shows your assignment progress, helps you keep track of your video watching, and adds playback and review tools.

Information stored on your device

Your progress, library and settings are stored locally in your browser. Chrome sync may sync some settings through your own Google account.

Information sent off your device

• If you request access or use an invite code: the optional name and email you enter, an anonymous identifier derived from your Boards & Beyond account (to prevent duplicate access), your approximate location and browser type, so the developer can review your request.
• If you use study cards (after an approved request or invite code): content from questions you have answered is sent to the developer's service, which uses a third-party AI provider to create study cards. The service keeps the cards, basic usage counts, and technical information about your installation (such as approximate location and browser type) to operate the service fairly and securely.
• If you subscribe to Autopilot: payment is handled by Square; the developer receives confirmation of the payment, not your card details.
• If you do none of these, nothing leaves your browser.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no selling or sharing of data for other purposes.
• No changes to your Boards & Beyond account.

You can stop sharing at any time by removing the extension.
